Surf City Volunteer Fire Company & EMS Announce 2026 Leadership

The Surf City Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 and Surf City EMS Squad 49 have announced their slate of officers for the upcoming year, congratulating the dedicated members who will lead the organizations in 2026.

The newly appointed leadership team spans administrative roles as well as operational commands for both the fire and emergency medical service divisions.

Fire Officers: On the operational side for the Fire Company, Kyle Costabile has been named Chief. Joining him in the chain of command are Assistant Chief Andrew Wolfschmidt and Captain Brian Stasik. The line officers include 1st Lieutenant Keyan Cusick and 2nd Lieutenant Ric Waters. Thomas Jaime will serve as the department’s Engineer.

EMS Officers: For Squad 49, Keyan Cusick will take on a significant leadership role as Assistant Chief, holding officer positions in both the Fire and EMS divisions for 2026. He is joined by Captain Christina Black and 1st Lieutenant Michelle Jaime.
