37-Year Member of Chatham Borough Fire Department Named Grand Marshal for Parade

John Baldwin of the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department will be honored as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 Independence Day Parade, set to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday on Main Street. Baldwin is a 37-year member of the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department, serving with Engine Company No. 1. Parade Chairman Corey Duren announced the plans for the 71st annual parade organized by the Chatham Fire Department Association. Chatham Borough Mayor Carolyn Dempsey and members of the Borough Council will โ€œinspectโ€ the members of the CBVFD after the flag is raised at the firehouse at 9:15 a.m. The parade starts at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Main Street and ends at the Chatham Middle School. The evening fireworks display will be held behind the middle school at 480 Main St. at approximately 9:30 p.m. or dusk, whichever comes first.
