Chester Volunteer Fire Department Responds To Residential Fire

Chester firefighters recently extinguished a structure fire that took down an entire garage, according to officials. On Tuesday morning, around 7:30 a.m., the Chester Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a residential structure fire. According to emergency response scanners, the structure was in the area of Lewis Lane. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed that a detached garage on the property had been completely engulfed in flames and collapsed. Responders were able to extinguish the flames safely, according to officials. Officials from the Chester Volunteer Fire Company did not report any casualties in their statement. Assisting the Chester fire officials was Fairmount Fire Company No.1 of Long Valley, Ralston Engine Company No.1, Randolph Township Fire Department 4th Battalion Ironia, and Brookside Engine Company 1.
