A car fire erupted Friday night on Route 1 North in South Brunswick, according to officials.
The area was briefly closed as crews worked to extinguish the flames.
Photos of the scene show the vehicle completely engulfed with smoke billowing above it.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear. Authorities have yet to confirm if anyone was injured.
