Two pedestrians hospitalized after suspected DUI crash in Las Vegas

On Saturday night, a life-threatening crash occurred at Mel Torme Way near Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Boulevard around 10:54 p.m., according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The crash occurred when a Toyota Camry ran a red light and struck two pedestrians crossing against the “don’t walk” signal. The pedestrians were thrown onto the roadway and sustained injuries ranging from substantial to life-threatening. Emergency medical personnel transported them to University Medical Center. The driver, who showed signs of impairment, was arrested for DUI and reckless driving.
