Hiker rescued after falling from Lone Mountain summit in Clark County

VIDEO: Search and rescue teams saved a hiker who broke his leg while hiking Lone Mountain this past weekend. Around 1 p.m. on Saturday, a Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue team was deployed to the rescue area aboard AIR1, according to social media post about the incident. The team was informed that a hiker slipped and fell near the summit of the mountain and broke his leg. Crews with Las Vegas Fire and Rescue found the hiker first after hiking up the trail and called in AIR1 for airlift due to the hikerโ€™s injury. He was also given pain medication and minor treatment at the scene before the helicopter arrived.
