VIDEO: The Reno Fire Department quickly knocked down a fire that blackened trees in a 30 by 20 foot area in Verdi on Wednesday, July 16, according to an agency spokesperson. Firefighters were wetting the area near Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort after a full-brush response about 6:30 p.m. There was no damage and no injuries. The cause is under investigation.
