Occupants of 8 Reno apartments displaced by fire

VIDEO: Occupants of eight apartment units near the Meadowood Mall in Reno were displaced after a fire broke out about 6:49 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30. The fire was confined to the apartment of origin and its attic at Delucchi Lane and Neil Road, according to Reno Fire Department Battalion Chief Shawn Grady. An additional seven units were displaced due to carbon monoxide, Grady said. Power was shut off to the eight affected units. Additionally, two dogs and three cats were removed from the apartments. A cat was taken to the emergency veterinarian for treatment. Thirty-seven firefighters responded to the scene.
