Investigation underway after commercial building fire in Las Vegas

A fire broke out early Monday morning at a commercial building located at 6335 Sunset Corporate Dr., prompting a large-scale response from the Clark County Fire Department. The Combined Communication Center received reports of heavy smoke at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a large structure with intense smoke and flames emanating from both the front and rear of the building. Initial crews quickly pulled lines inside the structure to combat the fire while conducting a primary life search, according to the fire department. The Clark County Fire Department responded with a substantial force, deploying nine engines, three trucks, three rescues, three Battalion Chiefs, one EMS Captain, and the Air Resource unit, totaling 62 personnel. Assistance was provided by Nevada Energy and Southwest Gas during the operation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
