A medical transport helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in the dirt adjacent to eastbound I-80 near the Mustang exit shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Chris Brown of the Nevada Highway Patrol. The helicopter reportedly experienced a loss of power, prompting troopers to respond to reports of its impending landing. Fortunately, the helicopter landed safely, and no injuries were reported. Mechanics were reportedly on their way to address the helicopter’s mechanical issues.
