Firefighters in Sparks responded to a fire on Tuesday in an abandoned structure on the 1000 block of East Greenbrae Drive. The blaze was confined to a room and its contents before being quickly extinguished, preventing any spread to nearby structures. The response included four engines, a truck, two safety officers, and a battalion chief. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
