A significant fire broke out Wednesday evening at a vacant house located at 2345 Frank Street near East Sahara Ave. and South Nellis Blvd. prompting a robust response from local fire departments. The Clark County Fire Department, supported by units from Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, dispatched a total of 39 personnel, including six engines, two truck companies, two rescues, two battalion chiefs, and an air unit, to tackle the blaze. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions in the attic of the heavily fortified structure, which initially delayed their access. According to officials once inside, crews swiftly deployed hand lines to suppress the flames. A primary life search confirmed that the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. CCFD says there were no injuries reported among fire service personnel or civilians. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and a damage estimate has yet to be determined.
