Brush fire at Wetlands Park burns over 100 acres in east Las Vegas valley

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Just two weeks after a brush fire scorched parts of Wetlands Park, another fire was reported in the area Tuesday. The Clark County Fire Department responded to the brush fire in the Wetlands Park in a desert area northeast of Old Silver Bowl Park off Weisner Way just after 3 p.m. Authorities arsked the public to avoid the area as crews worked to contain the fire. As of 8 p.m., fire and BLM crews were working to contain the brush fire. Over 100 acres were impacted by the fire as of Tuesday night, according to Clark County. Crews were expected to work through the night to contain the fire. LVMPDโ€™s Air Unit assisted fire crews in checking for anyone still on or near the trails after the area was closed by park police.
