VIDEO: Clark County Fire Station Number 13 has introduced two new advanced “Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting” vehicles at Harry Reid International Airport. The trucks, which arrived from Wisconsin, are equipped with foam and water to combat fires effectively.
The Assistant Chief for Clark County Fire highlighted the environmental benefits of the new equipment, stating, “They bought new foam that doesn’t have forever chemicals like the foam they used to have.” The new trucks also enhance safety during testing procedures. Additionally, the trucks are fitted with cameras, allowing firefighters to pinpoint the location of a fire on an aircraft and direct water or foam precisely where needed. These new vehicles will replace two older models, which will be refurbished and reassigned to smaller airports.
