The Omaha Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire in North Omaha that happened Wednesday afternoon. According to an OFD release, crews responded to the scene near 24th Street and Crown Point Avenue just after 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. At the scene, crews were able to find a fire in the second floor of the home. No one was in the home at the time of the fire. Crews were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is now under investigation. Damages to the home are estimated to be $47,500.
