Lincoln business suffers $70,000 in damages following fire

A company saw $70,000 in damages to its building after a fire broke out late Thursday night. The fire began at 11:51 p.m. at Molex Inc., located off Highway 77 near Kingbird Road. Lincoln Fire and Rescue say the business’ suppression system activated shortly after, putting out any flames.

An overheated compressor caused the fire, according to LFR. Everyone in the building was successfully evacuated, and there were no injuries. LFR says Molex sustained $70,000 in damages.
