First responders extinguished a brush fire just east of York Wednesday night. The York County Sheriff’s Office said shortly after 8 p.m. that first responders were on scene of Interstate 80 near mile marker 358 for a brush fire in the north side ditch of the westbound lanes. In a Facebook post, York County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Waco Fire Department for their quick response. The sheriff’s office asks that drivers proceed with caution and allow first responders to do their job safely.
