Four firefighters’ vehicles were reportedly vandalized Friday at an Omaha Fire station. Battalion Chief Coby Werner said in an email that the vehicles were broken into, resulting in damage, and that personal items had been stolen from the vehicles. Omaha Police are investigating the incident.
“We are fully cooperating with law enforcement in the hopes that those responsible will be quickly identified and held accountable,” Werner said. “While this act is deeply disheartening, the Omaha Fire Department is incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support expressed by members of our community. The brave men and women of the Omaha Fire Department remain committed to protecting and serving the citizens of Omaha every day, and we thank the public for standing with us during this time.”
