The Omaha Fire Department responded to a fire in a home Friday morning. Shortly after 5 a.m. Friday, firefighters got a call to a house in the area of 47th and Martha streetsโ near Aksarben. According to an OFD official on the scene, the fire was coming from the homeโs basement. Crews put the flames out in about 10 minutes. The official shared that the family is now displaced as a result of the fire. There are no injuries from the incident, which is under investigation.
