Specially built on a 2024 Freightliner M2 chassis, the City of Green Bay showcased its newly acquired state-of-the-art Incident Command Vehicle. The innovative mobile command center is a joint purchase by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department and the Green Bay Police Department, addressing the need for updated Incident Command Vehicles for both departments, all while saving Green Bay taxpayers half a million dollars.
Some of the key features of the new Incident Command Vehicle include three separate rooms with four slide-outs for enhanced space, up to 12 fully operational workstations with secure internet access, triple-redundant internet connectivity for uninterrupted communication, and five external surveillance cameras for improved situational awareness.
โThis vehicle will play a crucial role in managing large-scale emergencies and special events, ensuring our community stays safe and informed,โ stated officials. โIt will also be stationed at Lambeau Field during the upcoming NFL Draft, providing critical support throughout the event.โ The addition marks a major step forward in Green Bayโs preparedness and ability to respond effectively when it matters most.
