VIDEOS: Popular restaurant in Alabama catches fire

PHOTOS: A popular restaurant on Logan Martin Lake in Talladega County caught fire Sunday night. Blue I Eatery, located just a short ways off of Interstate 20 in Lincoln, was damaged by a fire that started on a night when the business was closed. Lincoln Fire Chief Joshua Vincent says the initial call came in just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday night. Chief Vincent says when firefighters arrived, the fire had already moved into the large ceiling space inside the restaurant that was engulfed in flames.

He says at that point they couldn’t stop the fire by themselves and decided to call for assistance from other departments. “We called in the City of Pell City and the City of Talladega with ladder trucks to assist. Myself and the Lincoln Fire Marshal and Alabama State Fire Marshal are conducting an investigation, however we do not suspect foul play,” said Vincent. With the help of multiple crews from neighboring areas, the fire was contained by 1:30 a.m.
