PHOTOS: A large fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Middlesboro, Kentucky. The blaze left hundreds without power and led to some road closures in the area. Fire crews responded to a fire at the Cardwell Furniture storage building on the corner of 20th Street and Cumberland Avenue, according to the Bell County Emergency Management Agency. Middlesboro Mayor Boone Bowling said the fire caused significant damage and led to a partial collapse of the building. The fire also caused hundreds of people in the area to lose power. In response, the city opened a warming shelter for those affected at the Middlesboro Community Center.
