Three boats caught on fire at a North Palm Beach marina Thursday night, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. It happened around 11:30 p.m. at Safe Harbor North Palm Beach. “The main body of fire was coming from the inside of an approximate 48-foot long catamaran,” fire rescue said in a release. “The fire also extended out of the cabin, catching the rigging and the outside area of the boat with heavy fire conditions. The fire had also spread to two other large single hull sailboats. A unified command system was set up allowing the agencies to work seamlessly to fight this large and challenging fire.” Crews were on the scene for hours overnight. Fire Rescue told WPBF 25 that first responders assessed one person for injuries, but that person declined to be transported to the hospital.
