No state is immune to natural disasters, but several have a lower risk. However, these days, technology has made it easier to predict when something will strike within America. That wasn’t always the case, though. Prior to the 21st Century, it was somewhat challenging to know for sure when a disaster would hit the United States. There were some occasions when citizens didn’t have any time to prepare. One such disaster even helped the United States remain a country.
