VIDEO/PHOTOS: Fire crews were dispatched around 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday to rescue a driver stranded in high waters at West Commerce and Military Drive just south of Loop 410. Severe weather hit San Antonio for the second straight day. More rain, and more flooding, including a dramatic high-water rescue by San Antonio Firefighters Wednesday morning on the Far West Side. And chaos on one of the busiest highways in San Antonio – at one of the worst times – the morning commute. Highway 281 shutdown for more than an hour as firefighters had to rescue four people from stalled out vehicles. And the heavy rain caused even more problems along a section of I-10 after a big rig got caught in high water during rush hour.
