Firefighters tackle blaze at lumber yard in Pennsylvania

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A fire at a lumber yard in Antrim Township sent a cloud of smoke into the air that could be seen from afar, keeping firefighters busy for hours Tuesday evening. The Franklin Fire Company said around 6:45 p.m. the fire was located at Rockwell Lumber on Buchanan Trail West.

Video taken at the scene by Scanner02 Fire Photography shows firefighters hosing down flames, and at least one structure appears to have been destroyed in the fire. Buchanan Trail West was shut down while crews responded.

Emergency dispatchers said firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the scene by 10:10 p.m., and no injuries were reported. Rescue Hose Company from Greencastle was the main responding agency on scene, with help from multiple other fire departments. It’s unclear at this time exactly how much damage the lumber yard suffered or what may have caused the fire.
