VIDEO: The Buchanan Fire & Rescue Department, in partnership with Appleton’s Firehouse Subs, unveiled its new emergency utility terrain vehicle (UTV) during a celebratory event. The UTV was made possible through a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, whose mission is to enhance the lifesaving capabilities of local heroes. The versatile vehicle will assist in fighting grassland fires in remote areas inaccessible to fire engines, support preventative burn applications, and bolster life safety efforts in parks, forests, and at community events. During the event, attendees enjoyed treats from Firehouse Subs, while children received fire helmets and participated in tours of fire trucks and the new UTV.
