VIDEO: Ahead of the holiday season, the FDNY has released a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) to remind New Yorkers of kitchen safety information. Most fires in the home start in the kitchen. With increased activity in kitchens during holiday cooking, the FDNY urges New Yorkers to follow important safety tips. Fires tend to happen during the early afternoon hours. The Department’s PSA program is made possible in part with support from the FDNY Foundation, the official nonprofit organization of the Department.
