No injuries after plane crash at Kalispell City Airport

VIDEO: Planes moved back to their respective spots around 5 p.m. when law enforcement and first-responders left the scene, following a plane crash at the Kalispell City Airport. According to the city of Kalispell, the pilot of the plane lost control crashing into the runway, striking several parked aircraft. The collisions caught multiple aircraft on fire.

Kalispell Police confirm there were no fatalities, and the fire is contained. Kalispell Fire Department Chief Jay Hagen confirms with NBC Montana that a pilot and three passengers were onboard the plane. Hagen told NBC Montana that the pilot and three passengers walked away unharmed. Two people were treated for minor injuries. The Kalispell Police Department, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and local firefighting personnel responded, Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino confirms with NBC Montana.

The call came in at 2:08 p.m. according to Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino. Information on the type of plane hasn’t been released. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the crash.
