The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department quickly managed a structure fire on the 3100 block of Kennedy Ave. on Wednesday. Engines 1, 2, and 4 responded to the call. Engine 2 arrived first, reaching the scene in just over 4 minutes. Firefighters saw smoke coming from the rear of a single-story residence. A deck fire had spread to the house, prompting the crew to deploy a 1 3/4-inch handline for extinguishment. Engines 1 and 4 arrived shortly after.
