Butte-Silver Bow firefighters wear pink for breast cancer awareness

This October, Butte-Silver Bow firefighters will don pink duty shirts to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Chief Osborne approved this initiative to demonstrate solidarity with survivors, support those currently fighting, and honor those who’ve been lost, the department said in a release. Community members will see firefighters proudly wearing pink shirts on calls, in stations and at public events throughout the month. The department aims to spark conversations, spread awareness and encourage regular screenings and preventive care.
