Billings Fire Department gets repainted station from Lowe’s Hometown Improvement program

The Billings Fire Department Fire Station 5 was recently repainted thanks to Lowe’s Hometowns project.ย The repainting was done as part of a $280,000 grant to remodel Station 5, and was showcased at a community event on Tuesday evening.ย “We were honored to have Mayor Bill Cole and Fire Chief Hoppel share words of appreciation during todayโ€™s event, recognizing the collaboration between Loweโ€™s, volunteers, and our firefighters,” BFD wrote on social media.ย BFD’s Station 5 remodel is just one small part of the larger nationwide project spearheaded by Lowe’s.ย

“Loweโ€™s Hometowns is our five-year, $100 million commitment to restore and revitalize community spaces across the country and part of Loweโ€™s commitment to deliver 10 million square feet of impact this year,” according to the Lowe’s website. “Each project will receive a grant from Lowe’s to make physical improvements that help local organizations continue to make meaningful impact in their communities.”
