Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest reported Tuesday that its firefighters responded to two new wildfires. On the Dillon Ranger District, firefighters responded to a lightning-caused wildfire on Dixon Mountain, west of Dell. On the Butte Ranger District, firefighters hiked into a smoke report in the northern part of the Tobacco Root Mountains (Bone Basin area), south of Whitehall.
