Three people and dog saved after Barry County water rescue

PHOTOS: Three people and a dog were rescued from floodwaters in Barry County overnight on Sunday, April 20. According to aย postย from the Cassville Fire Protection District (CFD), they were sent to rescue three people who were trapped in a vehicle stuck in flood waters at around 5:10 a.m. near Farm Road 2200 and Farm Road 1110.

The Barry County Swiftwater Team, along with two members each from the Monett Rural Fire District and Purdy Fire Protection District, helped CFD crews recover the victims from the water. CFD says the three people and a dog were out of the water by around 5:53 a.m. CFD reminds people not to attempt to drive through roadways covered in water, and instead to turn around.
