PHOTOS: A residential structure fire on Pleasant Valley Road drew a massive response from fire districts across Camden County Saturday afternoon. Camden Countyโs The Northwest Fire Protection District was dispatched at 4:40 p.m. on Nov. 16 to the fire in Roach, Missouri, after multiple 911 callers reported a fully involved garage, a residence partially involved, and the sound of a propane tank explosion. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Northwest Fire crews arrived on the scene within nine minutes and confirmed a working fire. The district says flames were visible from the back of the home and the detached garage completely engulfed. Crews quickly initiated an aggressive interior fire attack and requested mutual aid, drawing resources from five other districts: Sunrise Beach Fire, Mid-County Fire, Gravois Fire, Lake Ozark Fire, and Deer Creek Fire protection districts.
With the help of the other crews, the fire was brought under control. Northwest Fire says units remained on the scene for several hours to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The structure fire was one of six incidents Northwest Fire responded to that day, including two natural cover fires and a medical emergency, according to the press release.
