PHOTOS: Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Barry County on Thursday, Oct. 9. According to an Eagle Rock Golden Mano Fire Protection District social media post, the fire began around 6:44 a.m. near Chain of Lakes in Eagle Lake on Thursday. Fire crews arrived and found that the residence was under heavy fire and began defensive operations, the post says.
The department states that occupants of the location had safely left before the arrival of emergency services. The Cassville Fire Protection District and the Holiday Island Fire Department assisted during the incident. The American Red Cross has begun assisting support to the residents affected by the fire.
