A structure fire at Stinson Trailer Court is under investigation after the Kirksville Fire Department responded to the scene shortly before 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The owner of the mobile home, Kourtney Redmon, 36, said she had not been living in the home, but her belongings were inside. Redmon explained that the trailer was being prepared for moving and it did not have electricity hooked up.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire. A friend of Redmon, who attempted to extinguish the flames, was treated for minor smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
