Bomb, arson investigators called after fire at St. Louis County auto shop

After a fire in Pine Lawn early Thursday, investigators determined that the fire had been started as arson. The call for the fire came out around 6:15 a.m. Thursday for a fire at Ollie IV at the 2700 block of Kienlen Avenue in Pine Lawn.

Firefighters say that when they arrived, heavy fire was seen coming from the office area of the building, and they were able to contain the fire.

Bomb and arson detectives were called to investigate after firefighters noted that the fire started in the office area, but the cause of the fire could not be determined. The same day, investigators determined the fire to be arson. The North County Co-op has taken over the investigation.
