Spring Grove Fire Department to receive $1.5 million for new station

The City of Spring Grove has been awarded $1.5 million for its Fire Department as part of a Community Project Funding request, Congressman Brad Finstad announced Friday.

The congressman submitted the request earlier this year and reached out to Spring Grove Mayor Bryan Wilhemson to notify him of the award Thursday.

The funding will assist in the construction of a new fire station, enabling the city to improve fire and rescue services for its residents.

“Investing in critical infrastructure strengthens the safety and resilience of our communities. It is a true honor to serve in Congress and make sure our ๏ฌrst responders have the resources and equipment they need, which is why I was proud to secure this much-needed funding for Spring Grove,” said Rep. Finstad. “These federal dollars will assist in the construction of a new ๏ฌre station, enhancing emergency response capabilities and supporting ๏ฌre and rescue operations throughout the Spring Grove community and its surrounding townships.”
