VIDEO: On Sunday evening, at around 5:30 p.m., a structure fire was reported on the Butler Road in rural Mountain Iron. According to the Northland Fire Wire, multiple agencies responded to the scene where a pole barn was fully engulfed in smoke and flames. The barn is considered a total loss, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Departments responding to the fire included Mountain Iron, Virginia, Clinton, Fayal, Eveleth, Cherry, and Kinney-Great Scott. The Virginia Ambulance service provided medical standby and the St. Louis County Sheriffโs Office assisted in traffic control.
