The wildfires in northern Minnesota earlier this year caused over $2.3 million in estimated damages, officials say. The first assessment from the St. Louis County Assessor’s Office said $2,348,795 in damages were caused by the fires, including 74 parcels of land and 205 structures being damaged. Many of those damaged structures are believed to have been completely lost. Property owners impacted by the wildfires are expected to receive applications for property tax relief.
