A state trooper out on patrol early Tuesday evening saw some heavy smoke and tracked it down to a garage on fire north of Dunvilla, Minnesota on Highway 59. The trooper found the detached garage fully engulfed in flames.
The fire had also spread to another detached garage which suffered moderate damage. A pickup and fish house were also damaged in the fire.
It is believed leaves and debris caught fire around the homeowner’s garbage burn barrel and the fire spread. No injuries were reported. Vergas Fire Department and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office were also on scene.
