VIDEO: Four homes were damaged Monday morning after a fire spread through a mobile home community in Dayton, officials said. The Dayton Fire Department said crews responded to a report of a structure fire at 9:34 a.m. at Dayton Park Mobile Home Community. Multiple homes were on fire when firefighters arrived on the scene.
Due to the lack of fire hydrants in the neighborhood, firefighters had to rely on tanker trucks to put out the blaze, and more than a dozen outside agencies helped. No residents were hurt, but one firefighter suffered an electrical shock. Fire officials say that firefighter is back home after receiving medical treatment. Flying over Dayton Park Mobile Home Community, Chopper 5 captured two homes with caved-in roofs. Two other adjacent properties appeared to have exterior damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
