Fire Destroys Barnum Township Motorhome

A motorhome and four-wheeler caught fire in Barnum Township on Wednesday evening. The Carlton County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded at about 9 p.m. along with fire crews from Barnum and Blackhoof. Later, Wrenshall, Mahtowa, and Carlton also responded.

According to initial reports, no one was inside the motorhome; however, there were propane tanks inside. The motorhome was fully engulfed, and the fire spread to a nearby metal pole barn. The four-wheeler, motorhome, and pole building were a total loss.

No injuries were reported, and no animals were harmed. Investigators say the fire likely started with the four-wheeler and is not considered suspicious. Fire personnel cleared the scene just before midnight. This happened on the 2600 block of County Road 6 in Barnum Township.
