VIDEO/PHOTOS: A business in Rochester sustained extensive damage after a fire Monday morning. It happened around 4:15 a.m. at WIP Fitness, located at 1318 Apache Drive Southwest. According to the Rochester Fire Department (RFD), crews arrived to find heavy smoke conditions, but no visible fire from the outside. Once inside the business, firefighters located and put out the flames, as well as hot spots, which RFD said was difficult due to the building construction and windy conditions. RFD reported substantial damage to the second floor and roof structure, with smoke damage throughout the building. The cause is not known at this time. No injuries were reported. The Rochester Fire Departmentโs Fire Marshalโs Office is investigating. The Rochester Police department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service also assisted RFD at the scene.
