VIDEO: The Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union has successfully raised $24,000 to support three food banks across the state. The funds will be divided among Hidden Harvest, Gleaner’s, and Feeding America.
Over the past three months, the union has been collecting donations from various locations throughout Michigan.
Matthew Sahr, the union’s president, expressed pride in their efforts, stating, “We’re an intricate part of every community that we serve. Michigan Professional Firefighters, our career firefighters in general, we work in our communities not only to save lives and property, but also to support them, whether it be Easter egg hunts, Donuts with Santa, or raising, doing charitable things like raising money for food banks. It’s important for us to be a part of that community.”
