VIDEO/PHOTOS: A fire at a home in Burton created a large cloud of smoke Wednesday night. The fire was reported around 8:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of Kenneth St. in Burton. Crews from the City of Burton Fire Department were on scene battling the fire.
The fire began in the home’s garage and spread to the home it is connected to as well as the one neighboring it on the backside. Heat from the fire also damaged the siding of some nearby homes and garages.
City of Burton Fire Department Chief Kirk Wilkinson says no injuries occurred due to the fire. Mutual aid was requested from local Fire Departments and crews from Consumers Energy were called to the scene.
