VIDEO: Grand Traverse Metro Emergency Services and seven other fire departments responded to a call Thursday morning in Garfield Township. The Grand Traverse Metro chief confirmed the fire started during a de-icing incident with a blow torch at Lautner Irrigation shortly before 11 Thursday morning. The fire was under control by 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon and roads were opened back up at 3:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, and the fire is still under investigation.
