VIDEO: A worker was injured Monday morning when he got pinned by a wall of a home under construction at a site in Canton. The incident happened at 10:23 a.m. at 10 Lake Road, where a two-story home is under construction. From Sky 5, first responders could be seen tending to a worker who was on his back on the second floor next to a framed wall. Firefighters said the man had been pinned under the wall.
“It’s under investigation right now. I believe they were trying to lift it up, something happened, and the wall came back down on them,โ said Canton Fire Chief Wendell Robery. The worker was talking to first responders and suffered back and leg injuries.
A Canton fire ladder truck was used to hoist a basket stretcher up to the second floor. First responders secured the man and then used the ladder boom to lower him to the ground. “We treated him up on the roof, and then brought him off to the ground with a hauling system,” Robery said. He was loaded into a waiting ambulance and taken to a Boston hospital.
No information about the manโs injuries or how he was injured was immediately available. The incident remains under investigation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating the incident
