Springfield Fire Department puts out car fire on Oak Street

Crews worked to put out a car fire in Springfield Monday afternoon. Springfield Fire Captain Drew Piemonte said firefighters were called to the intersection of Oak and Union Streets for a report of a car fire. The fire has since been put out and Captain Piemonte says no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad.
